Today, Noelle was rather bored. When Noelle is bored, she shops. Not only for clothes. Sometimes jewelry, sometimes shoes, sometimes cars, and on rare occasions, dogs. The latter was what was currently entertaining Noelle. The young girl was walking down the shopping center when she spotted the local SPCA, and decided, Why the hell not? Long story short, a large male doberman was now walking patiently beside Noelle's side. Honestly, Noelle had never really thought of herself being much of a big dog person. Sure, those yappy little chihuahua's would make her commit her first cruelty offense against animals, but she always saw herself with a noble sheltie or a cute terrier, if there was such a thing.
On weekends, the Academy students were free to do what they pleased, at least those with a signed parent release form, which of course Noelle had. She had decided to walk her new partner to the park where they could bond a little before she had to go to some flea-ridden pet store and buy whatever this huge dog would need. Noelle was of course excited, but also anxious at the same time. Taking care of something other than herself? Well, of course, she would barely see the animal during the week, where she was forced to be a prisoner in her dorm room. Of course, she snuck out numerous times to attend whatever luxurious party she felt like attending that night. However, this dog would be staying with her Aunt, an avid dog lover, during the week.
Noelle was really just grateful that the dog, whom had yet to be given a name, wasn't pulling her all across the Dublin sidewalk. Instead, he walked calmly by her side, his pink tongue hanging over his ivory, threatening teeth. Noelle's brown eyes caught a glimpse of the lush green lawn that surrounded the numerous baseball, soccer, and few basketball courts. Delighted to see that there was a fenced off area for dogs, Noelle lengthened her stride slightly, and the Doberman moved into a slow jog to keep up. Keeping an eye out for unsightly droppings, Noelle and 'Dobie' headed across the lawn into the fenced section for dogs. Slipping his choke chain over his head, Noelle released the dog into the large grassy area and placed the leather lead and chain into her bag. Taking out her every-day digital camera, a gold Canon Cyber-Shot, Noelle began to scan her surroundings for a suitable model or scene to photograph, for 'Dobie' watering the grass wasn't a scene she really wanted to be the photographer of.

chance was fourteen with nothing to do. the world was his play ground, but he hadn't the simplest clue that would tell him how to use it. he could run or play, do whatever the hell he pleased. but what? chance wore a black t-shirt, with a nice design, a tiger visible at the neck of the shirt, a pair of black shorts that stopped right at the knee. it was a weekend, he decided that maybe he'd take his board out and that it will help him figure out what to do. he rode his skateboard out to croke sports park. he didn't expect running into many people today, he'd rode down the street, until the park was finally in view. there were people out, playing, walking, jogging, etc. but one person in particular made his jaw drop just a little bit, and there was only one person that really made his jaw drop that way. noelle, she was in the dog park. he managed to keep his balance for now, but as he came closer and closer to her he started to grin that little cheesy grin that she always brings to his lips. the moment that he opened his mouth to say hi to noelle, he ended up losing his balance and tripping, falling forward. fuck, he thought as he caught himself with his hands.
he'd just fallen in front of noelle delacroix... god, his heart pounded a little, out of embarrassment of course. he quickly jumped up to his feet, looking behind him to figure out where his skateboard had run off to. he smiled sheepishly before running to grab his board, and running back towards where he'd fallen. he could feel a small scrape on his knee from where he'd landed, and a one on his palm where he'd caught himself. "shit," he muttered under his breath. he always made him self look like a fool. he kind of shoved one hand into his pocket, and held onto his board in the other. he just looked all around awkward at the moment. but he couldn't help it... i mean look at her. she was noelle delacroix, was there anymore that could be said about? she was stunning... but she was older than chance, not by much, three years, but still. she'd never love a little fourteen year old. but chance could dream, right?! well hope. chance would never dream of calling her vulgar names, although people have said she could be a bit of a bitch, chance said no way. for whatever reason, she'd always been nice to chance. he felt honored really. glad that she even knew who he was. i mean, he was an emerald, but he wasn't special.
he saw her with a camera, and traversed that short distance to where she was. he leaned against the outside of the fence and said, "hi noelle." god! could that get any more lame?! he stood there like an idiot, with fresh scrapes, and all h could say was hi? he should know better, but he kind of choked up when it came to being around noelle. he'd forgotten how to speak really. come on chance, speak up! take the cahnce. <- ha that was lame. it was then hat he looked towards the large doberman, that looked to be about his size, "watering" the grass, and laughed. he was fourteen after all.

Unfortunately, Noelle and 'Dobie' didn't have the whole park to themselves. A few large dogs were bounding about in the grass, socializing with the new addition to the temporary pack. If one of those flea-ridden mongrels tried to hump her dog, Noelle would have to open up a can. Noelle's dog seemed to be much like his owner, asserting himself towards the other dogs and demanding that he be alpha. A small grin slipped over Noelle's lips and she snapped a picture, depicting the scene of her dog's stiff body looking over a slight smaller dog's before pouncing on it playfully. Usually Noelle didn't photograph animals, but this was a refreshing change of pace. However, when a body clothed in black could be seen out of her peripheral vision, Noelle's focus was instantly changed. Swiveling her hips slightly to face the scene, Noelle quickly snapped the shot of the boy laying on the ground before quickly springing back to his feet.
When Noelle noticed the messy curls, a grin was depicted across her lips. Chance Lefevre. He looked sheepishly at her, clearly embarrassed. Before Noelle could say something to make him feel slightly better, he was off to retrieve his skateboard. Laughing softly to herself, Noelle continued to snap photo's of the dogs playing as Chance was finding his way back to her. When he spoke, Noelle once again turned her attention to him.
"Hey, Lefevre. That made a pretty impressive shot. Here, look."
Noelle grinned, stepping closer to the boy and leaning down towards him, showing the evidence of the fall to him. It was really a spectacular fall, with the grass around him out of focus, but that could be touched up a little. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a good photo, none-the-less. The gentle breeze swept past the two, fingering through Noelle's brown-sugar scented locks. After putting the camera into the pocket of her loud yellow coat, Noelle stepped in front of the boy and grabbed his hand, clearly examining his wound. Shaking her head slightly, Noelle looked back to Chance before grasping the water she had brought and placed down on a nearby bench.
"Smooth move. Don't you know you're supposed to roll when you fall, not brace yourself on your hands?"
She informed the boy, her grin still in place to let him know that she was simply giving him a hard time and not meaning anything by it, really. Unscrewing the cap the the water, Noelle poured it over the minor wound slowly, not exactly thinking about whether it would sting or not.

the fall, there was evidence of his fall. caught by none other than noelle. his face turned red, as she showed him the picture that she'd just taken of him. it was right as he sprang up to his feet. he felt like a damn fool, at the moment and kind of wanted to run away, to the dorms or something. to hide his face, you know just for a little while, like until he died? it seemed to be too late now. he grinned sheepishly, "i guess i'm pretty photogenic," he said, as if to try playing off his embarrassments. the gentle breeze blew past them, the scent of noelle's hair smacked him like the gust of wind when a fast moving vehicle went by. his embarrassment seemed to blow away, for a moment, and his usual grin broke through. after all he was with her. "... i know, now." he said, through his grin, as she had his not scraped hands in hers. he held in his excitement, as to not make himself look even stupider. but goddamn, she was holding his freaking hands. sure it was only to examine his dumb wounds, but still!
he watched her process, attentively. she grabbed her water, unscrewed the cap, and poured it over his hand. okay, so usually water doesn't sting, but when it came to scrapes, it kind of hurt. he would know from experience. he tried not showing it, but he flinched discreetly. "thanks," he said, quietly, "i swear i'm not that much of a clutz." chance looked up, at where the dogs were running, and noticed the doberman he'd seen earlier was quite the dominant dog. an alpha, in correct terms. "your dog?" he asked as he tilted his head in the direction of the doberman. he wasn't under the impression that she liked such large dogs, after all that one looked as if it were as big as he was. luckily for chance, he was a fan of dogs, lets just hope this dog didn't think he was a chew toy or something.

A slight grin slipped across Noelle's lips as she could practically hear Chance's pulse quicken. Really, Noelle loved having that effect on someone. The fact that he was so excited about her touching his hand almost made her want to kiss him in front of all of the dogs at Croke Sports Park. Almost. When he insisted that he wasn't usually such a clutz, Noelle nodded a bit, not really wanting to explain how he should be clutzy right about now, with him probably going through 'changes' and whatnot. That was more of a mommy or health-teacher sort of discussion. When the wound looked about as good as it was going to get, Noelle let it slip through her grasp and repositioned herself so she was looking at her dog, the topic of their next discussion, apparently.
"Yeah, I actually just got him."
Noelle explained, glad that she didn't have to try and make her responses witty or complicated around Chance. She could just breath and be normal for a while. Placing her thumb and index finger into her mouth, Noelle blew through a passage made by her folded tongue. A piercing whistle shattered the peacefulness of the park, but the dogs came running. Now, the scene of 5 large dogs bounding towards you, their teeth on full display, wasn't really a comforting one. Squealing a bit, Noelle ducked behind Chance a bit, using him as a shield. She grasped his shoulders slightly, peeking out from behind his elbow to see how far away the dogs were.
Luckily, they weren't interested in pouncing at this exact moment, but settled for surrounding the two of them, their tails wagging with such force that their butts actually moved with them. The creatures looked up at them, and they seemed to smile. Stroking her own dog's noble head gently, Noelle then moved to the ears while she stepped out from behind Chance and shot him a smile. Her ivory teeth were on full display, which was rare for Noelle. Usually her grins were slight, only hinting at satisfaction. But with Chance, she was allowed to be happy and admit it.
"He doesn't have a name yet, actually. Want to help me choose?"
