But be the devil inside. <3

October was staring across the grounds from one of the windows in the corridor. It was a nice day outside and here she was walking around inside. She frowned at that and pressed her hand against the window. Instantly she could feel the warmth of the sun’s rays. It was nice but the sudden warmth on her hand compared to the chill of the academy’s halls made her shudder. She shook violently and let out a little gasp. “Damn chill.” She frowned at herself before she pulled her hand from the glass. October shook her head before she stepped quickly away from the window. She was going outside and nothing was going to stop her. After shuddering like that she knew the only thing that would make her feel warm now was being outside in the sun.
October pushed her way out of the large front doors. She closed her eyes as the sun hit her full on in the face. She fumbled around in her pocket for a moment, dropping her book to the ground, before she managed to pull her sunglasses out. October quickly pushed the bright blue shades over her eyes and slowly opened them. She kept her eyes narrowed for a moment before she slowly opened her eyes the rest of the way, them adjusting to the brightness that had come with stepping outside. The warmth made her skin bubble up in goose bumps though. October bit down at her lip lightly before she bent down and picked her book up.
She pushed her hand back into her hair, shaking her bangs out of the way of her face. She knew that the walk across the grounds was going to be a short one but it actually took her a lot shorter period of time than she had expected. Her eyes went a bit wide like always as she stared at the crystal lake. Everything here was always so beautiful but she would bet that most people thought the lake was by far the most beautiful thing around the campus. The way that the light shined off the surface and the atmosphere that the place seemed to evoke. It was amazing in all honesty and the reason behind the lake being at the top of her list of favorite places around here.
October slid down into a sitting position well out of the way of the water. She kept her eyes on it for a few minutes, watching the way that the small breeze trailed across the surface leaving ripples behind in its wake. She sighed softly at herself before she opened her book to the page she had stopped the last time she had read. She slipped the small piece of paper from the book and stared at the writing on it. It was a scrawling script but only one word. Liar. She scrunched up her nose slightly at the bookmark before she set it on the ground and started to read. Sometimes the smallest things could be such a big deal to a person.
