In 1918, Dr. Samuel Roberts built one of the best rehab clinic in the region. He named it Ruby Heights and ran it for thirty years. Dr. Roberts died in 1948 at the age of 60 years old. After 30 years of use RUBY HEIGHTS became an abandoned building and source of ghost stories for several years. Dr. Joseph Roberts, son of Samuel Roberts, bought Ruby Heights and put it back into business after 5 years of abandonment. The doors reopened in 1954 after a year of reconstruction.
Ruby Heights was a very popular place for a rehab center. They had many doctors that each had a specialty and worked with the patients. In 1990, Dr. Joseph Roberts died from complications with pneumonia. He was 82 years old but never got to meet his great granddaughter, Mikayla Roberts, who was born the same year he died. Joseph's son, William Roberts wanted to take over Ruby Heights to keep the building in the family but wasn't completely finished with school.
It took William 18 years to finish his degree and get the paper work in order to run Ruby Heights. His family had gone down the drain, especially with his divorce from his wife. The only thing that had mattered to William was his daughter Mikayla. With the divorce Mikayla left with her mother and he hadn't seen her. At least until the day he began to work at Ruby Heights. His first day on the job, Dr. William Roberts get's a patient he will never forget. His daughter.
