The most trying time of your life. Or at least that’s what they say. And South
Dallas High; located in Dallas, Texas of course, is no different. Teachers that
make classes hard; parents who have too many rules; friends who want you to
party all the time; and the future. The future you might not be too sure about.
The future that will determine the rest of your life. The future that can change
all that you think you know.
College.

Seniors.
This is your final year of high school and the future is coming ever closer. But,
before you can graduate and go off to college and the rest of your life, you have
to pass the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test. If you can’t pass it
in five times you’ll have to repeat your senior year next year. If you do pass it’s
‘bye-bye South Dallas High, hello real world!’ So make the most of this year –
you’ll never get it back.[/align]

Juniors.
One more year and you’ll be the ones to rules the school. One more year and
you’ll be the ones on top. One more year and you’ll be the ones that everyone
looks up to in awe. Just one more year and you’ll have it all. But right now you
still have the seniors above you. You aren’t quite there yet. But you’ll get there.
Just give it time. While you wait you can still have some fun and enjoy it. It is
high school after all.

Sophomores.
You just finished your first year of high school last year and now you’re back
for more. Only – this time – there is actually someone beneath you on the high
school food chain, the freshmen. Or maybe freshmeat is more like it. No more
everyone picking on you. Nope. That’s over now. Not it’s your time to pay it
forward. Hey, you had to go through it! Why shouldn’t they?

Wow. You’re a little freshman. Congrats on your first year of high school. Don’t
be scared of those bigger and older seniors, they can only ruin your high school
career. Okay. Maybe you should be slightly scared of them. But – in four years
– that’ll be you. And if you try to rule now you’re just asking for social suicide.
And no one wants that for themselves. High school should be fun, not torture.
