we would love to see what kind of ideas you guys have for a site wide event. this will happen once a month. we just need some ideas of what you guys would love to have at the academy.

Seriously. haha. : D but in a school so ruled by social status's, I think everyone deserves a night to just be someone else and not care who they hang or make out with. :]

Well,I organized this dance our theatre society hosted for the school and it was based on Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. What we did was have an entire listing of the students and any student was free to claim another for the evening. As a student was claimed, the name was crossed off the list and whoever did not choose yet had to from the remaining students. The only thing is, if you were already claimed, you couldn't ask anyone to the dance. So basically it was as though no one could say no to whoever asked to take them to the dance. Perfect opportunity to grab that crush and show them who you really are right? (But in this case, it could also be a great way to annoy the hell out of someone you hate.)
All the decorations were like enchanted forest themed and it was outside by the lake. Plus, everyone had to come dressed as fairies or crazy creatures from the play. We also had little mini-events like a relay and whoever won received a kiss from whichever attendee of the dance they choose (you can just use a random number generator to see who wins for rping), first one to find a paper heart in the mess of wildflowers gets to steal another's date and just things like that which made couples all jumbled and mixed. After all, that's how the comedy is.
It was actually really fun because everyone got to meet new people (and in rp world, isn't rping with new characters always awesome?), and it was hilarious to watch the couples that actually turned out to be amazing and those that weren't so...great. I don't know--up to you guys! (: |

That is an awesome idea... I really like it:))
I think we could also possibly do a play? It kinda has a little bit for every major... dance, acting, singing(if we do a musical), technical stuff, of course we would need photographers... I've done it on a RP site before, so it could possibly worlk.:) |

Lol Thanks. And I love that play idea. Yes! A musical would be absolutely awesome to have. I raise hands for Grease or Hairspray!
Maybe we could even have something like an awards night. Our school has 'Golden Hoofs' were we basically have like little voting sessions for crazy awards like 'class clown' or 'stupidest rebel' and then we give them out in this mock oscars event. |

That would be cool! Haha, would they dress up?
And maybe they could do like a field day type thing, but like people are teamed up, and they compete and stuff in competitions around campus. It would be a good way to get the people to work together outside of statuses and stuff... And for them to get to know other people. Nothing like teamwork:) |

Yup. (: In like Hollywood Glamour...usually everyone dresses up like Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn--like really well known but classic actors/actresses.
Oooo! That sounds like an awesome idea too. Maybe we could even have a school carnival and have different events like dunking booths and kissing booths. (; |

We could also do like a charity event. Haveta think of the less fortunate... Maybe like a walk-a-thon or the carnival could be to raise money for a charity... Possibly an animal foundation or a cancer organization? |

I like the charity idea. Maybe we could have a bonne soiree which would be nice considering the status the school has and all.
Or maybe the school could even host a debutante ball or renaissance fair. |

Im liking the idea of the ''A Midsummer Night's Dream' party/dance thing i think it would be cool, and the musical would be good 'hairspray' sounds good their would be a lot of places for all the schools students. im thinking if we leave this up till the tenth then have a vote of the different events and let people choose.
