[/size][/font] Aidan listened to what Ali said, and he looked away when she said that she had read the signals all wrong, and Aidan knew it was hsi fault for the mixed signals that he had probably been giving the whole time. He just didn't know what he wanted right now and Ali had caught hima little off guard with it tonight. "Everything has to start somwhere, and i guess i been giving mixed signals which i'm really sorry about its not fair on you" Aidan said after he had been silent for a moment after Ali had spoken to him. Aidan expected that at some point in his life he would be able to settle down and put his player ways behind him, but really the only problem was he had no idea when that was going to be, he was still young and jsut wanted to live life right now. In the back of his mind Aidan wandered if a seriosus relationship was actually what he needed rather than meaningless hooks ups, but he soon shoved that thought far away trying not to think about it for much longer.
He was glad that they were ordering some food now, it had been awhile since Aidan had last ate, and the beer was needed as well he wanted to try and blank the memories of the last few minutes and he was hoping with some alcohol in his system that he would be able to do jsut that, and enjoy the rest of the night with Ali liek he had been planning to when he'd left his dorm earlier. He ran a hand through his short blonde hair, before his elbow rested on the tables, and his piecring blue eys looked across to Ali, he would have give anything to know what she was really thinking, if she stilla actually wanted to be his friend or if she thought he was just a major jerk now.
The night had in some ways only just started and in some ways Aidan had wandered if the conversation had ended it, and he didn't want Ali to think she had to stay there with him. If she wanted to go back to her dorm and leave him Aidan wouldn't blame her for it at all. Aidan managed to smiel back at Ali when she smiled at him after saying that she wanted to stay and have fun. "Okay we shall have fun tonight then" Aidan nodded as he saw the waitress heading back toward their table.

She smiled at him then, a genuine smile, and letting her thoughts from the past twenty minutes evapoate from her mind. She stuck her hand out over the table and waited for him to take hers, Hi… I’m Allison, It’s nice to meet you. She giggled now, and tried to be cute. Two can play at his little game of flirtation so she planned on turning the night around and hopefully, eventually making him really truly fall for her one day. But that doesn’t have to be today. "Okay we shall have fun tonight then", she nodded at his request and couldn’t agree more.
The waitress returned with their food and his beer. She smiled at the waitress, who was obviously checking Aidan out, and said Thanks to her for the food. She took a sip of her soda before reaching in to the stack of chili cheese fries and pulling one out to eat. She at it and licked the chili that was left on her thumb and index finger. Oh my gawd, those are so good…. You should try one. She said that to him while pointing to her food. Then she pushed the plate towards him, since he had only ordered regular fries, so that he could try them.

[/size][/font] Aidan herd what Ali siad andsaw her smile, and he couldn't help but smiel back properly now, he jsut wanted things to get back to being steady again and not so confsuing, He knew that maybe at somepoint they would end up talking about it again but aidan just wanted tonight to be fun. "Starting over sounds liek apretty damn good idea to me now" aidan nodded in agreement, starting over seemed liek a good way to go now. Aidan saw Ali hold he rhand out to him, and he moved to gently take hold of it with his owna nd he laughed softly when she introduced herself and said that it was nice to meet him. "Hello I'm Aidan and its nice to meet you to Ali" Aidan smiled brightly as his blue eyes finalyl looked back into Ali's green ones. Things seemed to have slipped back to the way they had been before the awkwardness of the conversation that they had just had and that Aidan was happy about. He wanted to be able to just have fun with Ali and be able to hang out with her, sure it was a little odd now knowing that she felt that way about him, but aidan would figure it all out at some point he was sure of that.
He watched the waitress finally return to the table with their food and his beer. aidan smiled politely at the waitress that he knew due to how often he was in the bar, and watched her turn away and his attetion was back onto Ali. His ahnd reached out and picked his beer up off the table and lifted it to his lips glad for the cold familiar taste running down in throat. Aidan set the beer bottle back down just as Ali tolsd him to try one of her chilli cheese friees. "Ah think i might have to try one now" Aidan nodded as he took one of the fries and put it into his mouth. "Damn they are pretty good" Aidan nodded after he had finished eating the fry. Aidan looekd round the bar for a minute the band was still playign music and the place seemed filled with even more people. "Hey you want to dance with me?" Aidan asked looking back to Ali now.

Ali was glad things were back onto a better and more FUN path! She hated that she had brought the night down into such a low slump, but was glad that they are back on track! She couldn’t help smiling, laughing and giggling at him as he re-introduced himself to her. It was so cute and his smile was so real that she couldn’t help it! She wanted to be with him, but if she couldn’t have him exclusively, then she would have him non-exclusively.
She was glad that things were better now, the dark mood had lifted and it seemed to her that the small burden of feelings had been lifted for now too. She was ready to let loose and have fun! She let him try her fries, and he liked them too. She took another sip of her coke and when she lifted her head back up she turned it to scan the room again. To see all the people still listening to the band play. It was a fast loud rock number and she had to admit that the band was pretty good for some local guys.
When Aidan looked away and looked back at her, then he asked her to dance. She debated mentally and then decided this was her chance to show him something that she’s made of. That she can have a good time with him and she can let loose and be carefree for a while. That she’s not all looks and books. She nodded to him, smiling. Standing and putting her purse in the chair where she had just been sitting, she made her way into the crowd to the center of the dance floor, where most people were bumping and grinding to the loud music.

[/size][/font] Normal that was how Aidan liked it between him and Ali, not all that complicated stuff about their feelings for each other. it just seemed to have really gotten them down for that short timebecause neother of them had wanted the same thing right now and Aidan figured it was more hsi fault than it was Ali's. He laughed when they both acted goofy adn reintriduced themsleves to one another, they probably looked really stupid but Aidan didn't mind jsut glad that they were back to smiling and having a laugh liek he had wanted tonight to be like.
It had been hard that short period of time with the whoel admitting to each other thign and Aidan having to say that he didn't think he was going to be able to give Ali what she wanted from him, mainly because he didn't want it to end up with Ali getting hurt because of him. though now it seemed that having fun was back on the agenda and that was the way it was suppose to be with hima nd Ali, just hanging out and having harmless fun. To aidan that was the best way to keep it for now untl he coudl think straight about everything that was going on with him at the moment. The band that was playign tonight was oen that Aidan had listened to before and he would admitt they were pretty good compared to soem of the ones that had beena llowed to play, not that they ever got asked back.
Aidan stole a glance aroudn the bar for a moment, taking in all the peopel that were around, some of them he knew froms chool and others were regulars at the bar liek he was. Then he decided he should ask Ali to dance with him, because he actually really wanted to get out there now rather than sit down, He was sure they could have lot more fun dancing with each other. Aidan smield brightly when he saw li nod and then stand up heading onto the dance floor. Aidan stood up as well and he followed afte Ali onto the crowded dance floor. when he reached her he slipped his ahnds don to rest lgihtly just on her waist. "I did tell you that you looked great tongiht, right?" Aidan asked leaning own slightyl so Ali would hear him.
